சென்னை: பேருந்து கண்ணாடியை உடைத்து ஓட்டுநரை தாக்கிய கல்லூரி மாணவர்கள் இருவர் கைது- Two college students have been arrested for breaking the glass of a bus and assaulting a driver

பேருந்து கண்ணாடியை அடித்து நொறுக்கி சேதப்படுத்தி ஓட்டுநரை தாக்கிய கல்லூரி மாணவர்கள் இருவரை போலீசார் கைது செய்தனர்.

சென்னை வில்லிவாக்கம் பகுதியை சேர்ந்தவர்கள் சாமுவேல்(19), நவின்(19) , அருண்குமார்(19) ஆகிய மூன்று பேரும் தனியார் கல்லூரியில் இரண்டாம் ஆண்டு படித்து வருகின்றனர். இவர்கள் ஒரே பைக்கில் நேற்று வில்லிவாக்கம் பகுதி வழியாக சென்று கொண்டிருந்தனர்.  

அப்போது அவ்வழியாக  வில்லிவாக்கத்தில் இருந்து பெசன்ட்நகர் செல்லும் தடம் எண் 47 என்ற பேருந்தும் பைக்கும் மோதியதாக கூறப்படுகிறது. இதில் ஆத்திரம் அடைந்த சாமுவேல், அருண்குமார் , நவின் ஆகிய மூன்று பேரும்  பேருந்து ஓட்டுனர் மணிவண்ணன்(34) என்பவரோடு கடும் வாக்குவாதத்தில் ஈடுப்பட்டனர்.

வாக்குவாதம் முற்றிய நிலையில் ஆத்திரம் அடைந்த கல்லூரி மாணவர்கள், பேருந்து முன்பக்க கண்ணாடியை அடித்து நொறுக்கி சேதபடுத்தி, பேருந்து ஓட்டுநரை தாக்கிவிட்டு அங்கு இருந்து மூன்று பேரும் தப்பி சென்றனர். இதனால் அந்த பகுதியில் வாகனங்கள் செல்லாமல் போக்குவரத்து பாதிப்பு ஏற்பட்டது.

இது தொடர்பாக பேருந்து ஓட்டுனர் மணிவண்ணன் வில்லிவாக்கம் காவல் நிலையத்தில் புகார் அளித்தார். புகாரின் அடிப்படையில் வில்லிவாக்கம் போலீசார் வழக்கு பதிவு செய்து பேருந்து ஒட்டுனரை தாக்கிய கல்லூரி மாணவர்கள் சாமுவேல், அருண்குமார் ஆகிய இருவரையும் கைது செய்து விசாரணை செய்து வருகின்றனர். மேலும் இந்த வழக்கில் தப்பி ஒடிய கல்லூரி மாணவன் நவின் என்பவரை வில்லிவாக்கம் போலீசார் தேடி வருகின்றனர்.

Police have arrested two college students for smashing and damaging a bus window.

Samuel (19), Navin (19) and Arunkumar (19) from Chennai Villivakkam are studying in the second year of a private college. They were going through the Villivakkam area yesterday on the same bike.

It is said that the bus and the bike collided with track number 47 on the way from Villivakkam to Besantnagar. The enraged Samuel, Arunkumar and Naveen got into a heated argument with the bus driver Manivannan (34).

At the end of the argument, the enraged college students smashed and damaged the windscreen of the bus, hit the bus driver and the three fled. This caused traffic congestion in the area.

The bus driver Manivannan lodged a complaint at the Villivakkam police station. Villivakkam police have registered a case based on the complaint and are investigating the arrest of two college students, Samuel and Arunkumar, who attacked the bus driver. Villivakkam police are also looking for Naveen, a college student who escaped in the case.
