பெரம்பலூர் அருகே பாரிவேந்தர் எம்.பி யால் உதவி பெற்ற கபடி வீராங்கனை ப்ரியதர்ஷினி, வறுமை எனும் தடையை தாண்டி தேசிய அளவில் சாதித்து வருகிறார். ஊக்கமளிக்கும் அவரின் வளர்ச்சி, பலருக்கும் தன்னம்பிக்கை தந்து வருகிறது. நேபாளத்தில் நடக்கும் தேசிய போட்டியொன்றுக்கு தயாராகிவரும் ப்ரியதர்ஷினி கடந்து வந்த பாதை, இங்கே!

வீராங்கனை ப்ரியதர்ஷினிக்கு, பிரத்யேக பயிற்சியாளர் என எவரும் இல்லை. தன்னம்பிக்கை மற்றும் விடாமுயற்சியின் துணையை கொண்டு கபடி விளையாட்டில் உயரப் பறக்கப் போராடும் இவர், பெரம்பலூர் மாவட்டம் சர்க்கரை ஆலை எறையூர் எனும் கிராமத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர். சிறுவயதாகும் போது தாயை இழந்திருக்கிறார். பின்னர் அவரது தந்தைக்கும் கைகால்கள் செயலிழந்துவிட்டதால், பாட்டி சுலோச்சனாவின் ஆதரவில் வளர்ந்துள்ளார் ப்ரிதர்ஷினி.

சிறுவயதிலிருந்தே விளையாட்டின் மீது தனி ஆர்வம் கொண்ட ப்ரியதர்ஷினி, கபடியை தேர்ந்தெடுத்து அதில் தன் சாதனை பயணத்தை தொடங்கியுள்ளார். தற்போது தனியார் கல்லூரியில் கணிணி அறிவியல் பிரிவில் பொறியியல் படித்து வரும் ப்ரியதர்ஷினின் முன்னேற்றத்துக்கு வறுமை பெருந்தடையாய் வந்திருக்கிறது. வெளியூர்களுக்கு சென்று விளையாடுவதற்கு கூட வசதியின்றி தவித்த ப்ரியதர்ஷினியின் நிலையை பார்த்து உற்றார்களும் உறவினர்களும் சிறு உதவிகள் புரிந்திட தன் முயற்சியில் வெற்றியை நோக்கி பயணிக்கத் தொடங்கியுள்ளார்.

அதன் பயணாக ‘யூத் கேம்ஸ் & ஸ்போர்ட்ஸ் அசோசியேசன் இந்தியா’ எனும் அகாடமியில் தேசிய அளவிலான கபடி அணியில் இடம் பிடித்தார் ப்ரியதர்ஷினி. இருப்பினும் வெளிமாநிலங்களில் நடைபெற்ற போட்டிகளுக்கு செல்ல அவரிடம் பணவசதி இல்லாமல் தவித்துள்ளார். அந்த நேரத்தில் காவல்த்துறையைச் சேர்ந்த சிலர் உதவிசெய்திருக்கின்றனர். அந்த போட்டியில் கலந்து கொண்ட ப்ரியதர்ஷினி அணி இரண்டாம் இடம் பிடித்துள்ளது. அதனால் டிசம்பர் மாதம் 25 ந்தேதி நேபாளில் ஆசிய அளவில் நடைபெற உள்ள கபடி போட்டிக்கு தேர்வு பெற்ற பிரியதர்ஷிணி, மீண்டும் வறுமையால் முடங்கியிருக்கிறார்.

இந்த விராங்கனையின் நிலையை அறிந்த பெரம்பலூர் தொகுதி எம்.பி டாக்டர் பாரிவேந்தர், அவரை நேரில் அழைத்து 50 ஆயிரம் ரூபாய் கொடுத்து உதவி, ஊக்கம் அளித்து, விடாமுயற்சியை பாராட்டி மென்மெலும் சாதிக்க தற்போது வாழ்த்து தெரிவித்துள்ளார். இதைத்தொடர்ந்து நேபாளம் செல்ல உதவி கிடைத்த உத்வேகத்தில் தற்போது தீவிர பயிற்சியில் ஈடுபட்டு வருகிறார் வீராங்கனை ப்ரியதர்ஷினி.

“இந்த உதவி நான் வெற்றிபெற கூடுதல் ஊக்கமளிக்கிறது. நான் எனக்கு ஒரு நிரந்தர ஸ்பான்சரை எதிர்பார்த்து காத்திருக்கிறேன்” எனக்கூறும் ப்ரியதர்ஷினி, வறுமை எனும் தடையைதாண்டி சாதிக்க துடிக்கும் பெண்களுக்கு முன்னுதரணமாக உள்ளார்.

For athlete Priyadarshini, there is no such thing as a dedicated coach. Fighting to the heights in the game of Kabaddi with the help of self-confidence and perseverance, he hails from the village of Eraiyur, a sugar mill in Perambalur district. He lost his mother when he was a child. Pritharshini has grown up with the support of her grandmother Sulochana, who later lost both her arms and legs to her father.

Priyadarshini, who has been interested in sports since childhood, has chosen kabaddi and started her adventure journey in it. Poverty has been a major obstacle to the progress of Priyadarshini, who is currently studying engineering in the computer science department at a private college. Seeing Priyadarshini's condition of not being able to go abroad and even play, she has started to travel towards success in her attempt to get small help from relatives and friends.

During her journey, Priyadarshini was part of the national level kabaddi team at the academy 'Youth Games & Sports Association India'. However, he has no money to go to outdoor tournaments. Some of the police at the time had come to help. The Priyadarshini team that participated in the tournament took second place. So Priyadarshini, who was selected for the Asian level kabaddi competition to be held in Nepal on December 25, is again paralyzed by poverty.

Aware of the situation, Perambalur constituency MP Dr. Parivendar called him in person and gave him Rs. Following this, Priyadarshini is currently undergoing intensive training in the spirit of getting help to go to Nepal.
