ஓமலூர்: பெற்றோர் எதிர்ப்பால் திருமணமான உடன் காவல் நிலையத்தில் தஞ்சம் அடைந்த காதல் தம்பதி-A couple who took refuge in the police station with their parents against their marriage

ஓமலூர் அருகே காதலுக்கு பெற்றோர் எதிர்ப்பு தெரிவித்ததால், திருமணம் செய்துகொண்டு காவல் நிலையத்தில் தஞ்சமடைந்தார்.

சேலம் மாவட்டம் ஓமலூர் அருகேயுள்ள பெரியேரிப்பட்டி கிராமத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர் குமார். இவரது மகள் புவனேஸ்வரி (19) கடந்த ஒரு வாரத்துக்கு முன்பு வீட்டிலிருந்தே கடைக்குச் சென்றவரை காணவில்லை என அவரது தந்தை குமார் தொளசம்பட்டி காவல் நிலையத்தில் புகார் கொடுத்திருந்தார். இந்த புகாரின் அடிப்படையில் இளம் பெண்ணை போலீசார் தேடி வந்தனர்.

இந்நிலையில், இன்று மதியம் தனது காதலுடன் வந்த புவனேஸ்வரி, பாதுகாப்பு கேட்டு காவல் நிலையத்தில் தஞ்சமடைந்தார். அவரிடம் போலீசார் விசாரித்தபோது, தாரமங்கலம் அருகே உள்ள சின்னப்பம்பட்டி பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த மினி டெம்போ ஓட்டுனர் மணிகண்டன் என்பவரை காதலித்து வந்ததாகவும், இவர்களது காதலுக்கு இரு வீட்டாரும் எதிர்ப்பு தெரிவித்ததால், இருவரும் வீட்டை விட்டு வெளியேறி திருமணம் செய்து கொண்டதாகவும் கூறினர்.

இதையடுத்து இரு தரப்பும் தங்களை மிரட்டுவதால் தங்களுக்கு பாதுகாப்பு அளிக்க வேண்டும் என்று கூறினர். இதைத் தொடர்ந்து தொளசம்பட்டி போலீசார் இரு தரப்பு பெற்றோர்களையும் அழைத்து சமரசம் பேசி சமாதானம் செய்து வைத்தனர்.

Kumar hails from Periyaripatti village near Omalur in Salem district. Her father Kumar Tholasampatti had lodged a complaint with the police that his daughter Bhuvaneswari (19) had not been seen until she went to the shop from home last week. Police were searching for the young woman based on the complaint.

Under the circumstances, Bhuvaneswari, who came with her boyfriend this afternoon, sought protection and took refuge in the police station. When questioned by the police, he said that he had fallen in love with Manikandan, a mini tempo driver from Chinnappampatti area near Tharamangalam, and that the two had left home and got married as their love was opposed by both the houses.

Both sides subsequently said they wanted to protect themselves from intimidation. Following this, the Tholasampatti police called the parents of both parties and negotiated a settlement.
