கரூர் பள்ளி மாணவி உயிரிழப்புக்கு காரணமானவர்கள் யாராக இருந்தாலும் கைது செய்யப்பட வேண்டும் என காங்கிரஸ் எம்பி ஜோதிமணி கூறினார்.

கரூரில் தனியார் பள்ளியில் 12ஆம் வகுப்பு பயின்ற மாணவி பாலியல் சீண்டலால் நேற்று முன்தினம் தூக்கிட்டு தற்கொலை செய்துகொண்டார். இது தமிழகம் முழுவதும் அதிர்ச்சியை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது. இந்நிலையில் கரூர் எம்பி ஜோதிமணி உயிரிழந்த பள்ளி மாணவியின் வீட்டுக்குச் சென்று மாணவியின் தாயாருக்கு ஆறுதல் கூறினார். பின்னர் செய்தியாளர்களை சந்தித்த அவர், “பள்ளி மாணவி உயிரிழந்த பிறகு புகார் அளிக்கச் சென்ற உறவினர்களை காவல் ஆய்வாளர் கண்ணதாசன் தாக்கியுள்ளார். தாயை தகாத வார்த்தைகளால் பேசியுள்ளார். இரவு முழுவதும் உறவினர்களை காவல் நிலையத்திலேயே வைத்துள்ளனர். பாதிக்கப்பட்ட குடும்பத்தினரிடம் காவல்துறை இப்படி கடுமையாக நடந்து கொண்டால், யார் புகார் அளிக்க செல்வார்கள்.

காவல் ஆய்வாளர் கண்ணதாசனை பணி நீக்கம் செய்து சட்டப்படி நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும். உடனடியாக கரூர் மாவட்ட காவல்துறை பள்ளி மாணவியின் உயிரிழப்புக்கு காரணமானவர்களை கைது செய்ய வேண்டும். இந்தியா முழுவதுமே பாலியல் ரீதியான குற்றங்கள் நடந்து வருகிறது. இதில் தமிழகம் விதிவிலக்காக நடந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும். உள்துறையை கைவசம் வைத்துள்ள தமிழக முதல்வருக்கு கோரிக்கை வைக்கிறேன்.

சட்டரீதியாக கையாள்வது மட்டுமல்லாமல் பெண்கள் துணிந்து புகார் கொடுக்கும் சூழ்நிலையை உருவாக்க வேண்டும். கல்லூரிகள், பள்ளிகளில் விசாக கமிட்டி அமைக்க வேண்டும். மாவட்ட, அளவிலான வட்டார அளவில் பெண்கள், சிறுமிகளுக்கு உதவ ஆலோசகர்களை ஏற்படுத்த வேண்டும்.

பள்ளி மாணவி உயிரிழந்த தொடர்பான குற்றவாளிகளை உடனடியாக கைது செய்ய வேண்டும். அப்படி கைது செய்யும் வரை தமிழ்நாடு காங்கிரஸ் கட்சி போராடும்” எனத் தெரிவித்தார்.

A 12th class student of a private school in Karur committed suicide by hanging himself yesterday due to sexual harassment. This has caused shock throughout Tamil Nadu. In this situation, Karur MP Jyoti Mani went to the house of the deceased school girl and offered her condolences to the mother of the student.

He later told reporters, “Inspector Kannadasan has attacked relatives who went to lodge a complaint after the death of a schoolboy. The mother has spoken inappropriate words. Relatives have been kept at the police station overnight. If the police treat the victim's family so harshly, who will go to lodge a complaint?

Police Inspector Kannadasan should be sacked and legal action should be taken. The Karur District Police School should immediately arrest those responsible for the death of the student. Sexual crimes are going on all over India. Tamil Nadu should act exceptionally in this. I make a request to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu who is in charge of the interior.

We need to not only deal legally but also create an environment where women can boldly complain. Colleges and schools should set up visa committees. Establish counselors to assist women and girls at the district and regional levels.

The school should immediately arrest the culprits related to the student death. The Tamil Nadu Congress Party will fight until such an arrest is made. ”
