செங்கல்பட்டு: வீட்டின் மண் சுவர் இடிந்து விழுந்து உறங்கிக் கொண்டிருந்த வயதான தம்பதி பலி-Chengalpattu: An elderly couple was killed when the mud wall of their house collapsed

செங்கல்பட்டில் தொடர் மழை காரணமாக வீட்டில் உறங்கிக் கொண்டிருந்த கணவன் மனைவி மீது வீட்டின் மண் சுவர் இடிந்து விழுந்து சம்பவ இடத்தில் இருவரும் பலியான சம்பவம் சோகத்தை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.

செங்கல்பட்டு மாவட்டம் மதுராந்தகம் அருகே உள்ள ஜெமின் எண்டத்தூர் கிராமத்தை சேர்ந்தவர் வேதாசலம் (80). இவர் மனைவி செந்தாமரை (72). இவர்கள் இருவரும் இரவு வீட்டில் படுத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் போது கடந்த வாரமாக பெய்த மழையின் காரணமாகவும், நேற்று இரவு இடியுடன் பெய்த கனமழை காரணமாக வீட்டின் மண் சுவர் இடிந்து விழுந்தது. இதில் சம்பவ இடத்தில் இருவரும் உயிரிழந்துள்ளனர்.

இன்று காலை வழக்கம் போல் அருகில் உள்ள மகனுடைய மகள், பேத்தி, தாத்தா, பாட்டிக்கு காபி கொண்டுவந்து பார்க்கும்போது, சுவர் இடிந்து விழுந்து தாத்தா பாட்டி இருவரும் பலியாகி உள்ளது தெரியவந்தது. இந்த சம்பவம் குறித்து சித்தாமூர் போலீசார் பிரேதத்தை கைப்பற்றி விசாரணை மேற்கொண்டு வருகின்றனர்.

Vedasalam (80) hails from Gemin Endathur village near Madurantakam in Chengalpattu district. He is survived by his wife Senthamarai (72). The two were sleeping in the house at night when the mud wall of the house collapsed due to heavy rain last week and heavy rain last night. Both were killed at the scene.

This morning, as usual, while bringing coffee to a nearby son's daughter, granddaughter, grandfather, grandmother, it was revealed that the wall collapsed and both grandparents were the victims. Siddamoor police have seized the body and are investigating the incident.
