வேலூர் மாவட்டத்தில் வரலாறு காணாத அளவுக்கு ஆறுகளில் பெருக்கெடுத்துள்ள வெள்ளத்தில் மேலும் சில வீடுகள் அடித்துச் செல்லப்பட்டன.
வேலூர் மாவட்டத்தில் பெய்துவரும் அடைமழையால் பாலாறு மற்றும் அதன் கிளை ஆறுகளில் வெள்ளம் கரைபுரண்டு ஓடுகிறது. இதனால் கரையோர கிராமங்களுக்குள்ளும் தண்ணீர் புகுந்துள்ளது. ஏற்கனவே வழக்கறிஞர் ஒருவரது வீடு, வெள்ளத்தில் அடித்துச் செல்லப்பட்ட நிலையில் தற்போது மேலும் சிலரது வீடுகளும் இடிந்து விழுந்துள்ளன. வேலூர் அருகே விரிஞ்சிபுரத்தில் பாலாற்றின் கரையோரம் காமராஜபுரத்தைச் சேர்ந்த கூலித்தொழிலாளி ரமேஷ், புஷ்பராஜ், நந்தகுமார் ஆகியோரின் வீடுகள், பாலாற்றின் வெள்ளத்தில் ஒன்றன்பின் ஒன்றாக அடித்துச் செல்லப்பட்டன.
காட்பாடி அருகே சேனூரில் மயானத்தில் இருந்த தகன மேடையைம் வெள்ளம் விட்டு வைக்கவில்லை. தங்களுக்கென கட்டிக்கொண்ட வீடுகளை பாலாறு அடித்துச் சென்றுவிட, அரசு முகாம்களில் ஏழை மக்கள் அடைக்கலமாகியுள்ளனர். மொத்த சேமிப்பையும் உழைப்பையும் போட்டு ஆசை ஆசையாகக் கட்டிக் கொண்ட வீடுகளை பாலாற்றின் வெள்ளத்தில் பறிகொடுத்துவிட்டு அவர்கள் தவித்து வருகின்றனர்.

The houses of Ramesh, Pushparaj and Nandakumar, laborers from Kamarajapuram on the banks of the lake at Virinjipuram near Vellore, were swept away one by one in the flood waters.
The crematorium at the Senur cemetery near Katpadi was not flooded. Poor people have taken refuge in government camps instead of being beaten to death by the houses they have built for themselves.
They are suffering from the flooding of houses built with the desire to put all the savings and labor in the flood of the lake.
