வேலூரில் மது அருந்திய தாத்தாவும், மது எனத் தெரியாமல் குடித்த பேரனும் உயிரிழந்த சம்பவம் அதிர்ச்சியை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
வேலூர் மாவட்டம் திருவலம் அடுத்த அண்ணா நகரின் கன்னிகோயில் தெருவைச் சேர்ந்தவர்கள் செந்தூரபாண்டியன் - விஜயா தம்பதியினர். இவர்களது 5 வயது மகன் ரூகேஷ். இந்நிலையில் கடந்த அக்டோபர் 1ஆம் தேதி, மாலை சிறுவனின் தாத்தா சின்னசாமி (62) தனது வீட்டில் இருந்தபடியே மது அருந்தியுள்ளார். மீதமிருந்த மதுவை வீட்டில் வைத்துள்ளார். அப்போது சிறுவன் ரூகேஷ் வீட்டில் இருந்த மதுவை பழச்சாறு என்று நினைத்து எடுத்துக் குடித்ததாக கூறப்படுகிறது. இதனையடுத்து அச்சிறுவனுக்கு மூச்சுத் திணறல் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது. சின்னசாமியும் மயங்கி கீழே விழுந்துள்ளார்.
இதையடுத்து உடனடியாக சிறுவனையும் சின்னசாமியையும் சிகிச்சைக்காக வேலூரில் உள்ள தனியார் மருத்துவமனைக்கு அழைத்துச் சென்றனர். அங்கு மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட பரிசோதனையில், வரும் வழியிலேயே சின்னசாமி உயிரிழந்ததாக மருத்துவர்கள் தெரிவித்தர். சிறுவன் ரூகேஷ் தீவிர சிகிச்சைப் பிரிவில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டிருந்த நிலையில், சிகிச்சைப் பலனின்றி சிறுவனும் கடந்த 2-ம் தேதி உயிரிழந்தார். இச்சம்பவம் குறித்து திருவலம் காவல் துறையினர் வழக்குப்பதிவு செய்து விசாரணை மேற்கொண்டு வருகின்றனர்.

The death of a grandfather who drank alcohol in Vellore and a grandson who drank without knowing it has caused shock.
Senthurapandian - Vijaya couple from Kannikoil Street, Anna Nagar, next to Tiruvalam, Vellore District. Their 5 year old son Rukesh. In this situation, on the evening of October 1, the boy's grandfather Chinnaswamy (62) drank alcohol as if he was at home.
He keeps the rest of the wine at home. It is said that the boy Rukesh thought that the wine in the house was fruit juice and drank it. The boy suffered from shortness of breath. Chinnaswamy also fainted and fell down.
The boy and Chinnaswamy were rushed to a private hospital in Vellore for treatment. During the examination conducted there, the doctors said that Chinnaswamy died on the way home.
The boy Rukesh was admitted to the intensive care unit while the boy died on the 2nd without any treatment. Tiruvalam police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
