Psychiatric problems arising for boys

As a result of the imposition of smartphones for study in the hands of children reaching into homes during the Corona period, many boys have been forced to resort to psychiatrists.

Parents buy a 15-year-old boy from Bangalore for the first time. In the 6 months since the purchase the boy has spent 7 hours daily on the smartphone. Since then, there have been abrupt changes in the boy's behavior.

In particular, the boy, who was suffering from insomnia, social isolation, failure in studies, and severe anger and irritability, was revealed to be addicted to online games when his parents took him to a psychiatrist. Psychiatrists say the number of children addicted to online games has increased across the country, with at least 10 children coming in for counseling every week.

Parents say children avoid going out and playing because they are immersed in online games and stay on their cell phones even when relatives come.

The All India Game Federation estimates that there are about 300 million online gamers in India. According to the All India Gaming Federation, the online gaming industry in India is expected to grow to 15,500 crore by 2023. On the one hand, as the gaming industry flourishes, it becomes imperative to reduce the learning ability of students during the academic year and rescue children from addictive online games.
