பொன்னேரியில் 7 வயது சிறுமிக்கு தனியார் மருத்துவமனையில் அதிகளவில் மருந்து கொடுத்ததாகவும், அதனால் குழந்தையின் உடல் மோசமடைந்தாகவும் கூறப்படுகிறது. இதனால் குழந்தை அரசு குழந்தைகள் நல மருத்துவமனையில் சிகிச்சைக்கு சேர்க்கப்பட்ட நிலையில், அங்கு சிகிச்சை பலனின்றி சிறுமி உயிரிழந்திருக்கிறார். இதனால் உறவினர்கள் தனியார் மருத்துவமனை மீது கல் வீசி தாக்குதல் நடத்தியுள்ளனர்.
திருவள்ளூர் மாவட்டம் பொன்னேரி எம்ஜிஆர் நகரை சேர்ந்தவர் குமார். இவருடைய 7 வயது மகள் லக்ஷிதாவுக்கு உடல் நலக்குறைவு ஏற்பட்டதை தொடர்ந்து கடந்த 27-ஆம் தேதி பொன்னேரியில் உள்ள தனியார் மருத்துவமனையில் அவருக்கு சிகிச்சை அளிக்கப்பட்டிருந்திருக்கிறது. இதனையடுத்து, வீட்டிற்கு சென்ற உடன், சிறுமியின் உடலில் ஒவ்வாமை காரணமாக கொப்புளங்கள் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது. இதனால் மீண்டும் 30-ஆம் தேதி அதே மருத்துவமனைக்கு வந்த போது, அரசு மருத்துவமனைக்கு போக அறிவுறுத்தியுள்ளனர். இதனைதொடர்ந்து சென்னையில் உள்ள குழந்தைகள் நல மருத்துவ மனையில் சிறுமி லக்ஷிதா அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டிருந்திருக்கிறார். ஆனால் அங்கு சிகிச்சை பலனின்றி சிறுமி உயிரிழந்திருக்கிறார்.
இதைத்தொடர்ந்து சிறுமிக்கு ஏற்கெனவே சிகிச்சை அளித்த தனியார் மருத்துவமனையில் அதிகளவு மருந்து செலுத்தியதாலேயே சிறுமி உயிரிழந்ததாக அவரின் உறவினர்கள் குறிப்பிட்ட அந்த தனியார் மருத்துவமனை மீது கல் வீசி தாக்குதல் நடத்தினர். தகவலறிந்து வந்த பொன்னேரி காவல் துறையினர் இது குறித்து விசாரணை நடத்தி வருகின்றனர்.

A 7-year-old girl in Ponneri was allegedly given too much medicine at a private hospital and the child's condition worsened. The girl was admitted to the Government Children's Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The relatives then attacked the private hospital by throwing stones.
Kumar hails from Ponneri MGR town in Tiruvallur district. His 7-year-old daughter Lakshita was admitted to a private hospital in Ponneri on the 27th following an illness. As a result, after going home, the girl developed blisters due to allergies.
Thus when he came back to the same hospital on the 30th, he was advised to go to the government hospital. Following this, the girl Lakshita was admitted to the Children's Hospital in Chennai. But the girl died without any treatment.
This was followed by a stone-throwing attack on the private hospital where her relatives claimed that the girl had died due to overdose at the private hospital where the girl had already been treated. The Ponneri police are investigating the matter.
