புதுக்கோட்டை மாவட்டம் திருமயம் அருகே உள்ள விராட் சிலையில் நடைபெறும் ஒன்றிய கவுன்சிலர் இடைத்தேர்தலில் போட்டியிடும் திமுக வேட்பாளர் சுப்பிரமணியனை ஆதரித்து பரப்புரை செய்ய வந்த சிவகங்கை நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர் கார்த்தி சிதம்பரம் செய்தியாளர்களிடம் பேசும்போது, “7 தமிழர் விடுதலைக்கு மட்டும் தனிச் சலுகை என்பதை என்னாலும் காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியாலும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள முடியாது. தமிழகத்தில் கொலை வழக்குகளில் தண்டிக்கப்பட்டு 25 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு மேல் சிறையில் இருக்கும் அனைவரும் விடுதலை செய்யப்பட வேண்டும் என சட்டம் ஏற்றப்பட்டால் அதை நான் வரவேற்கிறேன்.
