இந்திய மாணவர் சங்கம் நடத்தும் நீட் எதிர்ப்பு மாநாடு திருச்சி மத்திய பேருந்து நிலையம் அருகே உள்ள சீனிவாசா திருமண மண்டபத்தில் நடந்து வருகிறது. இதில், பங்கேற்ற மதுரை மக்களவை தொகுதி உறுப்பினர் சு.வெங்கடேசன் பேசும்போது....

'நீட் தேர்வு ரத்தாகுமா? இல்லையா? என்பது குறித்து சட்ட நிபுணர்கள் அலசி ஆராயட்டும். 'நீட் வேண்டாம்' என்று மாணவர்கள் போராட்டங்களை நடத்தி வெல்ல வேண்டும். நீட் தேர்வு என்பது, 4,000 மாணவர்களின் மருத்துவப்படிப்பு சேர்க்கை சம்பந்தப்பட்டது இல்லை. மாநில உரிமை சம்பந்தப்பட்டது. மாநில சுயாட்சி சம்பந்தப்பட்டது. தமிழகத்தின் மருத்துவ வசதிகள் சம்பந்தப்பட்டது.
