திருவள்ளூரில் 10 ஆம் வகுப்பு மாணவியை மிரட்டி பாலியல் வன்கொடுமைக்கு உள்ளாக்கிய உடற்பயிற்சி கூட பயிற்சியாளர் போக்சோ சட்டத்தின் கீழ் கைது செய்யப்பட்டார்.
அரவிந்தன் என்ற இளைஞர் உடற்பயிற்சி கூடம் வைத்து நடத்தி அதில் பயிற்சியாளராக இருந்தார். இவர் அதேபகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த மாணவியை தனது செல்போனில் ஆபாசமாக படம் எடுத்து மிரட்டி பாலியல் வன்கொடுமை செய்ததாக கூறப்படுகிறது.
இதனால் அச்சிறுமி தற்கொலைக்கு முயன்றதால், இச்சம்பவம் குறித்து அறிந்த பெற்றோர் காவல்துறையினர் புகார் அளித்தனர். இதனையடுத்து காவல்துறையினர் அரவிந்தனை போக்சோ சட்டத்தில் கைது செய்து புழல் சிறையில் அடைத்தனர்.
