தூத்துக்குடி குலசேகரப்பட்டினம் முத்தாரம்மன் கோயில் திருவிழாவில் விதிமுறைகளை பின்பற்றி தரிசனம் செய்ய அனுமதி வழங்கப்படும் என மாவட்ட காவல் கண்காணிப்பாளர் ஜெயக்குமார் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
முத்தாரம்மன் கோயிலில் 11 நாட்கள் நடைபெறவுள்ள தசரா திருவிழா வருகிற ஆறாம் தேதி கொடியேற்றத்துடன் தொடங்கவுள்ளது. இதில் பக்தர்களை அனுமதிப்பது தொடர்பான ஆலோசனைக் கூட்டம் ஆட்சியர் தலைமையில் நடைபெற்றது. பின்னர் செய்தியாளர்களை சந்தித்த மாவட்ட காவல் கண்காணிப்பாளர் ஜெயக்குமார், கொடியேற்றம் நடக்கும் நாள் மற்றும் சூரசம்ஹாரம் விழா நடைபெறும் 15ஆம் தேதி ஆகிய இரு தினங்களில் பக்தர்கள் கோயிலுக்குள் அனுமதிக்கப்படமாட்டார்கள் எனத் தெரிவித்தார்.
இது தவிர அரசு அறிவித்தபடி, வெள்ளி முதல் ஞாயிறு வரையிலான, 8,9,10 ஆகிய தேதிகளிலும் தரிசனத்திற்கு அனுமதி இல்லை எனக் கூறினார். மற்ற நாட்களில் கொரோனா தடுப்பு நடவடிக்கைகளை கடைப்பிடித்து கோயிலுக்குள் பக்தர்கள் அனுமதிக்கப்படுவார்கள் எனத் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

District Superintendent of Police Jayakumar said that permission will be given to perform darshan at the Thoothukudi Kulasekarapattinam Mutharamman Temple Festival following the rules.
The 11-day Dasara festival at the Mutharamman Temple will begin on the sixth day with the flag hoisting. A consultative meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Collector regarding the admission of devotees. Later, District Superintendent of Police Jayakumar told reporters that devotees would not be allowed inside the temple on both the day of the flag hoisting and the 15th of Surasamaram.
Apart from this, according to the government, darshan is not allowed on Fridays, Sundays, 8,9,10. On other days, he said, devotees would be allowed inside the temple following corona prevention measures.
