பனை மரங்களை அகற்றியதாக விவசாயி மீது போலீசார் வழக்கு-Police file case against farmer for removing palm trees

கோவில்பட்டி அருகே அனுமதியின்றி பனை மரங்களை அகற்றியதாக கூறி விவசாயி மீது போலீசார் வழக்குப் பதிவு செய்துள்ளனர்.

தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்டம் கோவில்பட்டியை அடுத்த எட்டயபுரம் அருகே உள்ள மேல ஈரால் கிராமத்தைச் சேர்ந்த பொன்னுச்சாமி என்பவரின் மகன் தாமரைச்செல்வன் (41). இவர் தனது விவசாய நிலத்தில் கம்பு, சோளம், பாசி, உளுந்து உள்ளிட்ட பயிர்களை பயிரிட்டு வருகிறார். இந்நிலையில் இவர் நிலத்தின் அருகே உள்ள நீரோடை பகுதியில் உள்ள பனைமரங்களில் அணில்கள் கூடு கட்டியதோடு இவரின் நிலத்தில் பயிரிட்டுள்ள பயிர்களை சேதப்படுத்தி வந்ததாக கூறப்படுகிறது.

இந்நிலையில், தற்பொழுது விவசாயத்திற்காக தனது நிலத்தை தயார்படுத்தி வரும் நிலையில், அங்கிருந்த பனை மரங்களை அகற்ற முடிவு எடுத்துள்ளார். இதையடுத்து பனைமரங்களை அகற்ற வேண்டும் என்றால் மாவட்ட ஆட்சியரிடம் அனுமதி பெற வேண்டும் என்று தமிழக அரசு அறிவித்துள்ள நிலையில், தாமரைச்செல்வன், அரசிடம் அனுமதி பெறமால் ஜேசிபி இயந்திரங்களை கொண்டு, நீரோடையில் இருந்த 10 பனை மரங்களை அகற்றியுள்ளார்.

இது குறித்த தகவல் கிடைத்ததும் கிராம நிர்வாக அலுவலர் ரமேஷ்குமார் எட்டயபுரம் காவல் நிலையத்தில் புகார் அளித்தார். அதன் பேரில் போலீசார் தாமரைச்செல்வன் மீது வழக்குப்பதிவு செய்து விசாரணை நடத்தி வருகின்றனர்.

Police have registered a case against a farmer for removing palm trees without permission near Kovilpatti.

Tamaraichelvan (41) is the son of Ponnuchamy from Mela Eral village near Ettayapuram next to Kovilpatti in Thoothukudi district. He has been cultivating crops including rye, maize, moss and black gram on his farm land. In this case, he is said to have built squirrels' nests in the palm trees in the stream area near the land and damaged the crops planted on his land.

In this situation, as he is currently preparing his land for agriculture, he has decided to remove the palm trees there. Following the announcement by the Tamil Nadu government that permission should be sought from the district collector if the palm trees are to be removed, Thamaraichelvan has removed 10 palm trees from the stream with JCB machines without obtaining permission from the government.

Upon receiving the information, Grama Niladhari Officer Ramesh Kumar lodged a complaint at the Ettayapuram police station. Police have registered a case against Thamaraichelvan and are conducting an investigation.
