The Department of Development and Home Affairs has announced that in the first phase, 14,880 houses will be repaired and rehabilitated in 149 Samathuwapuras.
Chief Minister Stalin had announced in the last legislature that the Equality Houses were in a state of disrepair and would be rehabilitated. Speaking at the time, he said that no infrastructure work had taken place in the Equality Houses in the last 10 years.
Following this, it is planned to carry out works including maintenance of Periyar statue, street lighting, road facility and library at a project cost of Rs. 50.04 crore.
It has also been reported that 4 main equality houses were not built and handed over during the period 2008-2011. Related measures are also expected to be taken.
As the Chief Minister is scheduled to attend the inauguration ceremony of Vanurl Samathuvapuram in Villupuram district on Tuesday the 5th, the government has issued an order on this new guidance and restructuring.

முக்கியாக 4 சமத்துவபுரங்கள் 2008-2011 காலக்கட்டத்தில் கட்டப்பட்டு ஒப்படைக்கப்படாமல் இருப்பதாகவும் தகவல் வெளியாகியுள்ளது. அதுசார்ந்த நடவடிக்கைகளும் எடுக்கப்படுமென எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது. வரும் 5ஆம் தேதி செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை விழுப்புரம் மாவட்டம் வானூர்ல் சமத்துவபுரம் தொடக்க விழாவிற்கு முதலமைச்சர் செல்ல உள்ள நிலையில், அரசு இந்த புது வழிகாட்டுதல் மற்றும் சீரமைப்பு குறித்த ஆணையை வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.
