அந்தத் தடுப்பூசி முகாமை ஆய்வு செய்த பின் செய்தியாளர்களை சந்தித்த மருத்துவத் துறை மற்றும் மக்கள் நல்வாழ்வுத் துறை அமைச்சர், “தமிழகத்தில் நோய்த்தொற்றை கட்டுக்குள் கொண்டுவர தொடர்ந்து மருத்துவ முகாம்களை அமைத்து வருகிறோம். அதன்மூலம் தொற்றை கட்டுப்படுத்தி வருகிறோம். அண்டை மாநிலமான கேரளாவில் நோய்த் தொற்று குறையாத காரணத்தால், கேரளாவில் இருந்து தமிழகத்திற்கு வரும் மக்கள் அனைவருக்கும் தடுப்பூசி சான்றிதழ் அல்லது நோய் தொற்று பரிசோதனை சான்றிதழை கட்டாயப்படுத்தியுள்ளோம். அவை இருந்தால் மட்டுமே அவர்களை அனுமதிக்க வேண்டும் என்ற நடவடிக்கை தொடர்ந்து எடுக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது.

மேலும் கேரளாவில் தற்போதூள்ள நிபா மற்றும் ஜிகா வைரஸ் பரவலை தமிழகத்தில் பரவாத வண்ணம் தொடர் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. அடுத்து தமிழகத்தில் வடகிழக்கு பருவமழை துவங்கவுள்ளதால், தமிழகம் முழுவதும் அனைத்து ஊராட்சி பேரூராட்சி மற்றும் நகராட்சிகளில் கொசு ஒழிப்பு முறையை தொடர்ந்து நடத்தி வருகிறோம். டெங்கு காய்ச்சல் பரவலை தடுக்கும் நடவடிக்கையை மேற்கொண்டு வருகிறோம்” என தெரிவித்தார்.
