மலைகிராம மக்களின் அசத்தல் முயற்சி-The ridiculous effort of the hill people

ஆற்காடு ஊராட்சி ஒன்றியத்திற்கு உட்பட்ட மலை கிராமத்தில் ஓட்டுக்கு காசோ, பொருளோ பெறமாட்டோம் என ஊழல் இல்லா பஞ்சாயத்து நிர்வாகத்தை உருவாக்கும் முயற்சியில் மலைகிராம மக்கள் ஈடுபட்டுள்ளனர்.

ராணிப்பேட்டை மாவட்டம் ஆற்காடு ஊராட்சி ஒன்றியத்திற்கு உட்பட்ட நந்தியாலம் அடுத்த குறிஞ்சி நகர் பகுதி அமைந்துள்ளது. மலை கிராமமான இப்பகுதியில் 15 முதல் 20 க்கும் மேற்பட்ட குடும்பத்தினர் வசித்து வருகின்றனர். இவர்கள் நந்தியாலம் பஞ்சாயத்திற்கு உட்பட்ட 4-வது வார்டு பகுதியில் உள்ளவர்கள் இந்த பகுதியில் சுமார் 80க்கும் மேற்பட்ட ஓட்டுகள் உள்ளது.

இந்நிலையில் ஊரக உள்ளாட்சி தேர்தலில் போட்டியிடும் எந்த ஒரு வேட்பாளரிடமும் ஓட்டுக்கு காசோ அல்லது பொருளோ வாங்க மாட்டோம் என அப்பகுதி மக்கள் ஒன்று கூடி முடிவெடுத்து அவரவர் வீட்டு சுவரில், ‘எந்த ஒரு வேட்பாளரிடமும் ஓட்டுக்கு பணமோ பொருளோ வாங்க மாட்டோம் பணம் காசு கொடுத்து வேட்பாளர்கள் எங்களை சிறுமை படுத்தாதீர்கள்’ என்கின்ற வாசகங்கள் அடங்கிய சுவரொட்டிகளை ஒட்டியுள்ளனர்.
