பயத்தில் நடந்த சம்பவம்-Incident in fear

சேலத்தில் ஜாமீனில் வெளியே வந்த ஐந்து பேரை, வேறு வழக்கில் மீண்டும் கைது செய்துவிடுவார்கள் என்ற அச்சத்தில், சிறைச்சாலை வாசலிலேயே குடும்பத்தினர் அவசர அவசரமாக அழைத்துச் சென்றனர்.

கிச்சிப்பாளையம் பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த செல்லத்துரை என்ற ரவுடியை கொலை செய்த வழக்கில் பத்திற்கும் மேற்பட்டோர் கைது செய்யப்பட்டனர். அவர்களில் ஐந்து பேருக்கு ஜாமீன் கிடைத்தது. சிறையிலிருந்து வெளியே வந்ததும் வேறு ஒரு வழக்கில் காவல்துறையினர் கைது செய்ய உள்ளதாக தகவல் பரவியதால், ஐந்து பேரின் உறவினர்கள் சிறைச்சாலை முன்பாக குவிந்தனர். பின்னர், சிறையிலிருந்து வெளியே வந்தவர்களை அவரது உறவினர்கள் சூழ்ந்து கொண்டு கூச்சலிட்டதால், அங்கிருந்த காவல்துறையினர் அவர்களை அப்புறப்படுத்தினர்.

இந்நிலையில், ஜாமீனில் வெளியே வந்த ஐந்து பேரும் கண் இமைக்கும் நேரத்தில், உறவினர்களின் வாகனங்களில் ஓட்டம் பிடித்தனர். காவலர்கள் வழக்கமான பணிக்காக சிறைக்கு வந்ததைக் கண்டு, தவறாக புரிந்து கொண்டு ஐந்து பேரும் அச்சத்தில் ஓடியதாக காவல்துறை வட்டாரத்தில் கூறப்படுகிறது.

Five people who were released on bail in Salem were rushed by their families to the jail gate for fear of being re-arrested in another case.

More than a dozen people have been arrested in connection with the murder of a rowdy named Sellathurai from the Kichipalayam area. Five of them were granted bail. Relatives of the five men gathered in front of the jail as word spread that police were about to make an arrest in another case after they were released from prison. Later, those who came out of the jail were surrounded by his relatives and shouted at, and the police there chased them away.

In the meantime, the five men, who were out on bail, drove into relatives' vehicles in the blink of an eye. Police sources said the five men fled in fear after seeing the guards coming to the jail for routine duty.
