கோயில் வினோத திருவிழா-Temple Bizarre Festival

கமுதி அருகே பெண் தெய்வத்தை ஆண்கள் மட்டும் வழிபடும் வினோத திருவிழா, 50-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட ஆடுகளை பலியிட்டு ஆண்கள் மட்டும் சாமி கும்பிட்டு பச்சரசி அன்னதானம் வழங்கினர்.

ராமநாதபுரம் மாவட்டம் கமுதி அருகே உள்ளது முதல்நாடு கிராமம். இங்குள்ள கண்மாய் கரையில் உள்ள எல்லை பிடாரி அம்மனுக்கு பீடம் அமைத்து வருடத்திற்கு ஒருமுறை புரட்டாசி மாதத்தில் ஆண்கள் மட்டும் வழிபடும் வினோத திருவிழா நடைபெற்றது. இந்த திருவிழா நடக்கும் தேதி அறிவித்ததில் இருந்து கடந்த ஒருவார காலத்திற்கு இப்பகுதிக்கு பெண்கள் யாரும் வருவதில்லை.

இந்த திருவிழாவை ஆண்கள் ஒன்றுகூடி பீடம் அமைத்து கைக்குத்தல் பச்சரிசி சாதம் செய்து, 50-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட செம்மறி ஆடுகளை பலியிட்டனர். பின்னர் சாதத்தை உருண்டைகளாக உருட்டி பீடத்திற்கு மாலை அணிவித்து பூஜை செய்து சாப்பாடு பரிமாறப்பட்டது. மீதமாகும் சாப்பாட்டை வீட்டிற்கு கொண்டு செல்லக்கூடாது என்பதால் அங்கேயே புதைக்கப்பட்டது.

ஆண்கள் மட்டுமே கலந்து கொள்ளும் இந்த திருவிழாவிற்கு கமுதி மற்றும் அதன் சுற்றுவட்டார பகுதிகளில் இருந்து ஆயிரத்திற்கும் மேற்பட்ட ஆண்கள் வந்து எல்லை பிடாரி அம்மனை வழிபட்டனர்.

A bizarre festival where only men worship the goddess near Kamuti, more than 50 sheep were sacrificed and only men bowed down to Sami and offered pacharaci.

Ramanathapuram district is the first village near Kamudi. On the banks of the Kanmai, a bizarre festival is held once a year in the month of Purdasi to pay homage to the Goddess Bidari. No women have been coming to the area for the past one week since the date of the festival was announced.

During the festival, the men set up a pedestal and made handloom pasteurized rice and sacrificed more than 50 sheep. Then the ashes were rolled into balls and the evening was spent on the pedestal and the meal was served. The rest of the food was buried there as it should not be taken home.

More than a thousand men from Kamuti and its environs came to the festival, which was attended only by men, and worshiped the Goddess Bidari.
