ஏழ்மை நிலையில் உள்ள கணவனை இழந்த மற்றும் ஆதரவற்ற பெண்களுக்கு தலா ஜந்து செம்மறி ஆடுகள் அல்லது வெள்ளாடுகள் வழங்கப்படும் என கால்நடை துறை சார்பில் மானிய கோரிக்கையின் போது சட்ட பேரவையில் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது. அதன்படி 75.63 கோடி ரூபாய் மதிப்பீட்டில், 38,800 பேருக்கு தலா ஐந்து ஆடுகள் வழங்கபட உள்ளன. இம்மாதம் 15க்குள் இதற்கான பணியை துவக்க கால்நடை துறை தயாராகி உள்ளது.
முதற்கட்டமாக ஒரு பஞ்சாயத்து யூனியனுக்கு 100 பெண்கள் என்ற அடிப்படையில், 388 பஞ்சாயத்து யூனியன் முழுவதும், அக்டோபர், நவம்பர் ஆகிய இரண்டு மாதத்துக்குள் பயனாளிகளை தேர்வு செய்ய உள்ளனர். இதற்காக மாவட்ட வாரியாக ஆட்சியர் தலைமையிலான குழு, இந்த பணியை மேற்கொள்ள உள்ளது. அதன் தொடர்ச்சியாக, டிசம்பரில் துவங்கி ஜனவரிக்குள் பயனாளிகள் அனைவருக்கும் ஆடுகள் வழங்க முடிவு செய்து உள்ளதாக, கால்நடை துறை அதிகாரிகள் தரப்பில் கூறினர்.

The Department of Animal Husbandry is launching a program this month to provide per capita animal goats to bereaved and destitute women in poverty.
It was announced in the Legislative Assembly during the grant request on behalf of the Department of Animal Husbandry that per capita sheep or goats would be provided to widows and destitute women in poverty. Accordingly, at an estimated cost of Rs 75.63 crore, 38,800 goats are to be provided with five goats each. The veterinary department is preparing to start the work by the 15th of this month.
Initially, on the basis of 100 women per panchayat union, 388 panchayat unions across the country are expected to select beneficiaries within two months, October and November.
To this end, a district-wise committee headed by the Collector is to undertake this task. As a result, it has decided to provide goats to all the beneficiaries from December to January, veterinary officials said.
