தூத்துக்குடியில் 8 மாத ஆண் குழந்தையை ரூ.3 லட்சத்துக்கு விற்பனை செய்யப்பட்டது தொடர்பாக தாய் உள்பட 6 பேர் மீது போலீசார் வழக்குப்பதிவு செய்து விசாரணை நடத்தி வருகின்றனர்.

விருதுநகர் மாவட்டம் அருப்புக்கோட்டையைச் சேர்ந்த ராஜேந்திரன் என்பவரின் மகன் மணிகண்டன் (38). இவருக்கும், தூத்துக்குடி கொத்தனார் காலனியைச் சேர்ந்த ஜெபமலர் (28) என்பவருக்கும் கடந்த 2019-ம் ஆண்டு திருமணம் நடந்த நிலையில், கடந்த 8 மாதங்களுக்கு முன்பு ஜெபமலருக்கு ஆண் குழந்தை பிறந்தது. இந்நிலையில், கணவன் - மனைவிக்கு இடையே ஏற்பட்ட கருத்து வேறுபாடு காரணமாக ஜெபமலர் தனது கணவரை பிரிந்து குழந்தையுடன் தூத்துக்குடிக்கு வந்துவிட்டார்.

இந்த நிலையில், கடந்த சில நாட்களுக்கு முன்பு மணிகண்டன் தனது மனைவி மற்றும் குழந்தையை பார்ப்பதற்காக தூத்துக்குடிக்கு வந்துள்ளார். அப்போது வீட்டில் குழந்தை இல்லாததை கண்டு அதிர்ச்சியடைந்த மணிகண்டன், ஜெபமலரிடம் கேட்டபோது அவர் மழுப்பலாக பதில் கூறியதாக தெரிகிறது. இதனால் சந்தேகமடைந்த மணிகண்டன், அக்கம் பக்கத்தினரிடம் விசாரித்துள்ளார்.

அப்போது ஜெபமலர் தனது குழந்தையை விருதுநகரைச் சேர்ந்த புரோக்கர் ஜேசுதாஸ் என்பவர் மூலம் தூத்துக்குடியைச் சேர்ந்த அந்தோணி, கிருபா, செல்வராஜ், டேனியல் ஆகியோருடன் சேர்ந்து ரூ.3 லட்சத்துக்கு விற்பனை செய்தது தெரியவந்தது. இதனால் பேரதிர்ச்சியடைந்த அவர் குழந்தையை மீட்டுத்தரக் கோரி தூத்துக்குடி சிப்காட் போலீசில் புகார் அளித்தார்.

அந்த புகாரின்பேரில் தூத்துக்குடி சிப்காட் போலீசார், குழந்தையின் தாய் ஜெபமலர் உள்பட 6 பேர் மீது வழக்குப்பதிவு செய்து விசாரணை நடத்தி வருகின்றனர். தூத்துக்குடியில் 8 மாத ஆண் குழந்தையை ரூ.3 லட்சத்துக்கு விற்கப்பட்ட சம்பவம் பரபரப்பை ஏற்படுத்தி உள்ளது.

Police have registered a case against six persons, including a mother, in connection with the sale of an 8-month-old baby boy in Thoothukudi for Rs 3 lakh.

Manikandan (38) is the son of Rajendran from Aruppukottai in Virudhunagar district. He was married to Jepamalar (28) of Tuticorin Kothanar Colony in 2019. Jepamalar gave birth to a baby boy 8 months ago. In this situation, due to a disagreement between the husband and wife, Jepamalar separated from her husband and came to Thoothukudi with the child.

In this situation, Manikandan has come to Thoothukudi a few days ago to see his wife and child. Manikandan, who was shocked to see that there was no child in the house at the time, apparently replied vaguely when asked by Jepamalar. Suspicious of this, Manikandan has inquired with the neighbors.

It was then revealed that Jepamalar had sold his child through a broker Jesudas from Virudhunagar along with Anthony, Kiruba, Selvaraj and Daniel from Thoothukudi for Rs 3 lakh. Traumatized, he lodged a complaint with the Thoothukudi Chipkot police seeking the release of the child.
