வேலூரில் குடும்பத்தகராறு காரணமாக மூன்று குழந்தைகளை கொன்றுவிட்டு, பெண் ஒருவர் தானும் தற்கொலை செய்துகொண்டுள்ளார். இது தொடர்பாக வழக்குப்பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டு கணவர் கைது செய்யபட்டுள்ளார்.

இதனால், மன உளைச்சலுக்கு ஆளான ஜீவிதா, 7 வயது பெண் குழந்தை அக்ஷயாவையும், 5 வயது ஆண் குழந்தை நந்தகுமாரையும், 6 மாத ஆண் கைக்குழந்தை என 3 குழந்தைகளையும் கயிறால் கழுத்தை நெரித்து கொலை செய்துவிட்டு, தாய் ஜீவிதாவும் வீட்டினுள் தூக்கிட்டு தற்கொலை செய்துகொண்டார். இது குறித்து தெற்கு காவல் நிலைய போலீசார் விசாரணையை முடுக்கி விட்டனர்.
அதை தொடர்ந்து, இச்சம்பவத்தில் கணவன் தினேஷ்குமாரை வேலூர் தெற்கு காவல் நிலையப் போலீஸார் கைது செய்துள்ளனர். கொலை மற்றும் சந்தேக மரணம் என இரண்டுப் பிரிவுகளின்கீழ் வழக்குப்பதிவு செய்து தினேஷ்குமாரிடம் தீவிரமாக விசாரணை மேற்கொண்டு வருகிறார்கள்.
