Police have registered a case against six persons, including the husband of a DMK councilor, for making obscene threats to a policeman on night patrol.
Chennai Washermenpet policemen Manivannan and Thiagarajan were on patrol last night. Jagadeesan, husband of Niranjana, then 51st Ward Councilor of DMK, and some others moved to Old Washermenpet, MC Road, J.P. Were standing in the temple street.
Apparently the guards who came there then asked 'why are you standing here'. In this, they became enraged and insulted the police with obscene language. The police recorded the video on the cell phone. The councilor's husband, Jagadeesan, was reported to have intimidated and obscenely assaulted police officers. The video has caused controversy on social media.
Washermenpet Police Station Thiagarajan lodged a complaint at the Washermenpet Police Station. DMK councilor Niranjana's husband Jagadeesan and five other unnamed persons have been booked for allegedly threatening and killing the guards.
The Washermenpet police have registered a case under sections 141 of the Indian Penal Code, 294 (b) - indecent assault, 353 - restraining a civil servant from working due to violent acts and 506 (1) - threatening to kill.
Jagadeesan, the husband of Councilor Niranjana and the district secretary of the Udayanithi Stalin Fan Club, has been suspended for making death threats to the police.

அப்போது அங்கு வந்த காவலர்கள் 'ஏன் இங்கே நிற்கிறீர்கள்' என்று கேட்டதாக தெரிகிறது. இதில், ஆத்திரமடைந்த அவர்கள் போலீசாரை ஆபாசமாக தகாத வார்த்தையால் திட்டியதால் பரபரப்பு ஏற்பட்டது. இதனை போலீசாரே செல்போனில் வீடியோ பதிவு செய்தனர். இதில் கவுன்சிலரின் கணவர் ஜெகதீசன் காவல் துறையினரை மிரட்டுவது, ஆபாசமாக திட்டுவது பதிவானது. இந்த வீடியோ சமூகவலை தளங்களில் பரவி சர்ச்சையை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
இந்நிலையில் வண்ணாரப்பேட்டை காவல் நிலைய காவலர் தியாகராஜன் இந்த சம்பவம் தொடர்பாக வண்ணாரப்பேட்டை காவல் நிலையத்தில் புகார் அளித்தார். புகாரின் பேரில் காவலர்களை மிரட்டி கொலை மிரட்டல் விடுத்ததாக திமுக கவுன்சிலர் நிரஞ்சனாவின் கணவர் ஜெகதீசன் மற்றும் பெயர் தெரியாத 5 பேர் மீது வழக்குப்பதிவு செய்துள்ளனர்.
அதில், இந்திய தண்டனை சட்டப்பிரிவுகளான 141- சட்டவிரோதமாக கூடுதல், 294(பி)- ஆபாசமாக திட்டுதல், 353- வன்முறை செயலால் அரசு ஊழியரை பணி செய்யவிடாமல் தடுத்தல், 506(1)- கொலை மிரட்டல் ஆகிய 4 பிரிவுகளின் கீழ் வண்ணாரப்பேட்டை போலீசார் வழக்குப்பதிவு செய்துள்ளனர்.
இந்நிலையில் போலீசாருக்கு கொலை மிரட்டல் விடுத்த கவுன்சிலர் நிரஞ்சனாவின் கணவரும், உதயநிதி ஸ்டாலின் ரசிகர் மன்றத்தின் மாவட்ட செயலாளராகவும் உள்ள ஜெகதீசன், அனைத்து பொறுப்புகளில் இருந்தும் தற்காலிகமாக நீக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
