செம்பரம்பாக்கம், சோழவரம் ஏரிகளில் நீரின் அளவு அதிகரிப்பு-discharge of water in Sembarambakkam and Cholavaram lakes

நீர்பிடிப்பு பகுதிகளில் கனமழை பெய்த்ததால் செம்பரம்பாக்கம் ஏரிக்கு வரும் நீரின் அளவு அதிகரித்து வினாடிக்கு 5240 கனஅடியாக உள்ளது.

செம்பரம்பாக்கம் ஏரியின் முழு கொள்ளளவான 3645 மில்லியன் கன அடியில், தற்போது 2722 மில்லியன் கனஅடி நீர் இருப்பு உள்ளது. இந்நிலையில் தொடர்ந்து மழை பெய்து வருவதால் நீர்வரத்து அதிகரிக்க கூடும் என தகவல் வெளியாகியுள்ளது.

இதையடுத்து செம்பரம்பாக்கம் ஏரியில் இருந்து தொடர்ந்து 5வது நாளாக 2000 கனஅடி நீர் வெளியேற்றப்படுகிறது. அதேபோல் சோழவரம் ஏரிக்கு விநாடிக்கு 6737 கனஅடி நீர்வரத்து இருப்பதால், ஏரியில் இருந்து திறக்கப்படும் நீரின் அளவு 1200 கன அடியில் இருந்து 2000 கன அடியாக அதிகரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

The full capacity of Sembarambakkam Lake is 3645 million cubic feet and currently has a water reserve of 2722 million cubic feet. It has been reported that the water level may increase due to continuous rains.

Following this, 2000 cubic feet of water is discharged from Sembarambakkam Lake for the 5th consecutive day. Similarly, as the Cholavaram Lake has a discharge of 6737 cubic feet per second, the volume of water released from the lake has been increased from 1200 cubic feet to 2000 cubic feet.
