இந்திய வானிலை மையம், நாளை மறுநாள் (நவம்பர் 18ம் தேதி) சென்னை மற்றும் அதைச் சுற்றியுள்ள சில மாவட்டங்களுக்கு கனமழைக்கான சிவப்பு எச்சரிக்கை விடுத்துள்ளது.

மழை எச்சரிக்கை தொடர்பாக சென்னை வானிலை ஆய்வு மைய இயக்குநர் புவியரசன் இன்று நடத்திய செய்தியாளர் சந்திப்பில், “தென் கிழக்கு மற்றும் மத்திய கிழக்கு வங்கக்கடல், அதனையொட்டிய அந்தமான் பகுதியில் நிலவும் குறைந்த காற்றழுத்த தாழ்வுப்பகுதி, அடுத்த இரண்டு நாள்களில் மேற்கு திசையில் நகர்ந்து வரும் 18ம் தேதி தெற்கு ஆந்திரா - வட தமிழக கடற்கரையை நோக்கி நகரக்கூடும். இதன் காரணமாக, அடுத்த 24 மணி நேரத்தில் கள்ளக்குறிச்சி, சேலம், நாமக்கல், ஈரோடு, தருமபுரி, அரியலூர், பெரம்பலூர், கடலூர், தஞ்சை, திருச்சி மாவட்டங்களில் ஓரிரு இடங்களில் இடி மின்னலுடன் கூடிய கனமழையும், டெல்டா மாவட்டங்கள், புதுவை, காரைக்கால் ஆகியவற்றில் அநேக இடங்களில் மிதமான மழையும், ஏனைய மாவட்டங்களில் லேசானது முதல் மிதமானது வரையிலும் மழை பெய்யும்.

நாளை சென்னை, காஞ்சிபுரம், திருவள்ளூர் ஆகிய மாவட்டங்களில் ஓரிரு இடங்களில் இடி மின்னலுடன் கூடிய கன முதல் மிக கனமழையும் பெய்யும். அதேபோல், ராணிப்பேட்டை, செங்கல்பட்டு, சேலம், அரியலூர், பெரம்பலூர் மற்றும் புதுவை, காரைக்கால் பகுதிகளில் ஓரிரு இடங்களில் இடியுடன் கூடிய கனமழையும் பெய்யக்கூடும். ஏனைய மாவட்டங்களில் லேசானது முதல் மிதமான மழை பெய்யக்கூடும். சென்னையை பொறுத்தவரை, வெப்பநிலை அதிகபட்சமாக 32, குறைந்தபட்சம் 25 என்றும் இருக்கும்” என்று தெரிவித்தார்.

Chennai Meteorological Center Director Puviarasan said in a press conference today that the low pressure area in the south-eastern and central parts of the Bay of Bengal, along with the Andaman Sea, will move westwards over the next two days towards the southern Andhra-northern Tamil Nadu coast.

Due to this, thundershowers will occur at one or two places in Kallakurichi, Salem, Namakkal, Erode, Dharmapuri, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Cuddalore, Tanjore and Trichy districts during the next 24 hours. It will rain moderately.

Chennai, Kanchipuram and Tiruvallur districts will receive heavy to very heavy rain with thunder and lightning tomorrow. Similarly, thundershowers will occur at Ranipettai, Chengalpattu, Salem, Ariyalur, Perambalur and Puthuvai and Karaikal. Other districts may receive light to moderate rains. For Chennai, the maximum temperature will be 32 and the minimum 25 degrees, ”he said.
