கோயம்பேடு மார்க்கெட்டில் தக்காளி மைதானத்தை திறந்தால் ரூ.40க்கு தக்காளி விற்கத் தயார் என சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தில் வியாபாரிகள் சங்கத்தினர் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.
இதுதொடர்பாக சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தில் முறையிட்ட தந்தை பெரியார் தக்காளி மொத்த வியாபாரிகள் சங்கத்தினர், கொரோனா தடுப்பு நடவடிக்கையாக கோயம்பேட்டில் தக்காளி மார்க்கெட்டுக்கான மைதானம் மூடப்பட்டுள்ளதாக தெரிவித்தனர். எனவே கோயம்பேட்டில் மூடப்பட்டுள்ள மைதானத்தை திறந்தால் அதிகளவில் தக்காளி லாரிகளை நிறுத்தி சரக்குகளை இறக்க முடியும். ராஜஸ்தான், ஆந்திரா, கர்நாடாகாவிலிருந்தும் லாரிகளில் தக்காளி கொண்டு வரலாம் எனக் கூறினர்.
கோயம்பேடு மார்க்கெட்டில் தக்காளி மைதானத்தை திறந்தால் விலை குறைப்பு சத்தியம் எனவும் ஒரு கிலோ தக்காளியை ரூ.40 முதல் ரூ.50 வரை பொதுமக்களுக்கு விற்கத் தயார் என்றும் விலையை குறைத்து தமிழக அரசுக்கு உதவத் தயார் எனவும் அவர்கள் தெரிவித்தனர்.
The traders' association has stated in the Chennai High Court that they are ready to sell tomatoes for Rs. 40 if a tomato ground is opened in the Coimbatore market.
Father Periyar Tomato Wholesalers' Association appealed to the Chennai High Court in this regard, saying that the ground for the tomato market in Coimbatore has been closed as a precautionary measure. So if the closed ground in Coimbatore is opened more and more tomato trucks can be parked and the cargo unloaded. Tomatoes can also be brought in lorries from Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
They said that if a tomato ground is opened in the Coimbatore market, the price will be reduced and they are ready to sell a kilo of tomatoes to the public for Rs. 40 to Rs. 50 and are ready to help the Tamil Nadu government by reducing the price.
