கனமழை, மழை பாதிப்பு காரணமாக தமிழகத்தில் இன்று 21 மாவட்டங்களில் பள்ளிகளுக்கு விடுமுறை அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
சிவகங்கை, மதுரை, திருச்சி, திருவாரூர், ராமநாதபுரம், விழுப்புரம், கள்ளக்குறிச்சி ஆகிய மாவட்டங்களில் பள்ளிகளுக்கு மட்டும் விடுமுறை அளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. திருநெல்வேலி, தென்காசி, தூத்துக்குடி, விருதுநகர், தேனி, திண்டுக்கல் நாகை, மயிலாடுதுறை, புதுக்கோட்டை, தஞ்சை, கடலூர், அரியலூர், பெரம்பலூர், கன்னியாகுமரி மாவட்டங்களில் பள்ளி, கல்லூரிகளுக்கு விடுமுறை அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

Holidays are given only to schools in Sivagangai, Madurai, Trichy, Thiruvarur, Ramanathapuram, Villupuram and Kallakurichi districts. Holidays have been announced for schools and colleges in Tirunelveli, Tenkasi, Tuticorin, Virudhunagar, Theni, Dindigul, Nagaon, Mayiladuthurai, Pudukottai, Tanjore, Cuddalore, Ariyalur, Perambalur and Kanyakumari districts.
