தூத்துக்குடி துப்பாக்கி சூடு சம்பவத்தில் குற்றஞ்சாட்டப்பட்ட 25 பேர் மாவட்ட தலைமை நடுவர் நீதிமன்றத்தில் ஆஜரான நிலையில் விசாரணையை வரும் டிசம்பர் 1ம் தேதிக்கு நீதிபதி ஒத்திவைத்தார்.
கடந்த 2018 மே 22ஆம் தேதி தூத்துக்குடியில் ஸ்டெர்லைட் ஆலையை மூடக் கோரி நடைபெற்ற போராட்டத்தின் போது துப்பாக்கிச் சூட்டில் 13 பேர் சுட்டுக் கொல்லப்பட்டனர். இந்த வழக்கு விசாரணையை சிபிஐ விசாரித்து வருகிறது. இந்நிலையில் இச்சம்பவம் தொடர்பாக குற்றம் சாட்டப்பட்ட 75 நபர்களில் 27 நபர்களிடம் விசாரணை நடத்துவதற்காக சம்மன் வழங்கப்பட்டு இன்று விசாரணை நடைபெற்ற நிலையில் 25 பேர் நேரில் ஆஜரானார்கள். வழக்கை விசாரித்த நீதிபதி ஜெயக்குமாரி ஜெமிரத்னா 25 நபர்களை வழக்கு விசாரணையை வரும் டிசம்பர் 1-ம் தேதிக்கு ஒத்திவைத்து உத்தரவிட்டார்.
தொடர்ந்து செய்தியாளர்களை சந்தித்த ஸ்டெர்லைட் எதிர்ப்பு போராட்ட குழு வழக்கறிஞர் வாஞ்சிநாதன், போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டவர்கள் மீது சட்ட ரீதியான நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ள நிலையில், போராட்டத்தின்போது 13 பேரை சுட்டுக் கொலை செய்த காவல் துறையினர் மீதும் அப்போதைய அதிமுக ஆட்சியாளர்கள் மற்றும் அரசியல்வாதிகள் மீது ஏன் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படவில்லை என தெரிவித்த அவர் சிபிஐ விசாரணை ஒருதலைப்பட்சமாக செல்வதால் விசாரணையை நியாயமாக நடத்த வேண்டும் என கோரிக்கை விடுத்துள்ளார்.
