”முதுமலை புலியை சுட்டுப்பிடிக்க வேண்டாம்”- உயர் நீதிமன்றம்-"Do not shoot the Mudumalai tiger" - High Court

நீலகிரியில் உலவும் புலியை கொல்ல வேண்டாம் என வனத்துறையை சென்னை உயர் நீதிமன்றம் அறிவுறுத்தியுள்ளது.

நீலகிரி மாவட்டம், கூடலூரில் தேவன் தனியார் எஸ்டேட் பகுதியை சேர்ந்த 51 வயதான சந்திரன் என்பவரை கொன்ற புலியை பிடிக்கும் பணியில் வனத்துறையினர் ஈடுபட்டுள்ளனர். புலியை வேட்டையாடி பிடிக்க தலைமை முதன்மை வன உயிரின பாதுகாவலர் உத்தரவிட்டார். இதை எதிர்த்து நொய்டாவைச் சேர்ந்த சங்கீதா தோக்ரா என்பவரும், இந்திய கால்நடைகளுக்கான மக்கள் அமைப்பும் அவசர வழக்கு தொடர்ந்தனர். தங்களது அந்த மனுவில் அவர்கள் குறிப்பிட்ட அந்த புலி ஆட்கொல்லி என்பது அறிவியல்பூர்வமாக நிரூபிக்கப்படவில்லை எனவும், புலியை வேட்டையாடுவது தொடர்பாக உத்தரவு பிறப்பிக்கும் முன் உரிய சட்டவிதிகளை பின்பற்றவில்லை எனவும் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இந்த வழக்கு தலைமை நீதிபதி சஞ்சீவ் பானர்ஜி, நீதிபதி ஆதிகேசவலு அமர்வில் விசாரணைக்கு வந்தபோது, மனுதாரர்கள் தரப்பில் எம்.டி.டி. 23 புலியை ஆட்கொல்லி புலியாக கருதி அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாகவும், அப்பகுதியில் 144 தடை உத்தரவை பிறப்பித்துவிட்டு, பின்னர் புலியை பிடிப்பதற்கான நடவடிக்கைகளை தொடர வேண்டுமென கோரிக்கை வைக்கப்பட்டது.

வனத்துறை தரப்பில் அரசு பிளீடர் பி.முத்துக்குமார் ஆஜராகி, புலியை கொல்லும் திட்டம் இல்லை என்றும், அதை உயிருடன் பிடிக்கவே உத்தரவு பிறப்பிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக விளக்கம் அளித்தார். அதன் கழுத்தில் ஏற்கனவே காயம் உள்ளது தெரிய வந்துள்ளதாகவும் தெரிவித்தார். இதை பதிவு செய்த நீதிபதிகள், அந்த புலி ஆட்கொல்லி புலியாக இல்லாமல் கூட இருக்கலாம் என்பதால், அதை உடனடியாக  கொல்ல முயற்சிக்க வேண்டாம் என அறிவுறுத்தினர்.

புலியின் நடவடிக்கை கண்காணித்து, அதை பிடித்த பிறகு உரிய சிகிச்சை அளிக்க நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும் எனவும், அதை பிடிக்கும்போது மற்ற விலங்குகளுக்கு எந்த இடையூறும் ஏற்படுத்த கூடாது என்றும் உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளனர். புலியை பிடிக்கும் நடவடிக்கை தொடர்பாக விரிவான அறிக்கை தாக்கல் செய்ய உத்தரவிட்டு வழக்கு விசாரணையை இரண்டு வாரங்களுக்கு தள்ளிவைத்தனர்.

The Chennai High Court has advised the forest department not to kill the tiger that roams the Nilgiris.

The forest department is involved in capturing the tiger that killed 51-year-old Chandran from the Devan private estate area in Cuddalore, Nilgiris district. The Chief Chief Wildlife Conservator ordered the tiger to be hunted down. Sangeeta Dogra, a resident of Noida, and the Indian Livestock People's Organization filed an emergency lawsuit against this. In their petition, it was stated that the tiger they were referring to as the killer had not been scientifically proven and did not follow the relevant laws before issuing an order regarding the poaching of the tiger.

When the case came up for hearing before Chief Justice Sanjeev Banerjee in the Adigesaval session, M.D. 23 tigers have been declared killer tigers and 144 restraining orders have been issued in the area, demanding further action to capture the tigers.

State Bailiff P. Muthukumar appeared for the forest department and explained that there was no plan to kill the tiger and that an order had been issued to capture it alive. It has been revealed that there is already an injury to its neck. The judges who recorded this advised not to try to kill it immediately as the tiger may not even be the killer tiger.

They have been ordered to monitor the tiger's activity and take appropriate action to treat it after it is caught and not to cause any harm to other animals when it is caught. The court adjourned the case for two weeks after ordering a detailed report on the capture of the tiger.
