மூன்றாம் பாலினத்தவர் மற்றும் தன்பாலின ஈர்ப்பாளர்களை துன்புறுத்தும் காவல்துறையினர் மீது நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கும் வகையில் விதிகளில் திருத்தங்கள் மேற்கொள்ளபட்டு வருவதாக உள்துறை சார்பில் சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
தன்பாலின ஈர்ப்பாளர்களான இரு பெண்கள் தங்களுக்கு பாதுகாப்பு வழங்கக் கோரி தொடர்ந்த வழக்கு நீதிபதி ஆனந்த் வெங்கடேஷ், முன்பு மீண்டும் விசாரணைக்கு வந்தது. அப்போது மூன்றாம் பாலினத்தவர் மற்றும், தன்பாலின ஈர்ப்பாளர்களை துன்புறுத்தும் காவல்துறையினர் மீது நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கும் வகையில் தமிழக டிஜிபி விதிகளில் திருத்தங்களை கொண்டு வர வேண்டும் என நீதிபதி தெரிவித்தார். இதற்கான நடவடிக்கைகள் எடுக்கப்பட்டுவருவதாக உள்துறை சார்பில் ஆஜரான வழக்கறிஞர் கூறினார்.

According to the Chennai High Court, the rules are being amended to take action against the police for harassing third sex and homosexuals.
Judge Anand Venkatesh had earlier re-tried a case in which two women, who were gay, sought protection for themselves. The judge then said that amendments should be made in the rules of the Tamil Nadu DGP to take action against the police for harassing a third gender and homosexuals. Interior counsel said action was being taken.
