தமிழகத்தில் 8மாவட்டங்களில் இடியுடன் கூடிய கனமழை பெய்யக்கூடும் என எச்சரிக்கை விடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

தமிழ்நாட்டின் கடலோரப் பகுதிகளில் நிலவும் வளிமண்டல மேலடுக்கு சுழற்சி காரணமாக மாநிலத்தின் பல்வேறு இடங்களிலும் இடிமின்னலுடன் கூடிய மழை பெய்து வருகிறது. அடுத்த 24மணி நேரத்திற்கு, நீலகிரி, கிருஷ்ணகிரி, திருப்பத்தூர், தருமபுரி, சேலம், தேனி, திண்டுக்கல், கோயம்புத்தூர் ஆகிய மாவட்டங்களில் இடியுடன் கூடிய கனமழை பெய்யும் என வானிலை ஆய்வு மையம் கணித்துள்ளது. சென்னையை பொறுத்தவரை நகரின் பெரும்பாலான பகுதிகளில் மிதமான மழை பெய்யும் எனத் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

Extreme levels of thunderstorms are expected in 8 districts of Tamil Nadu.

Thundershowers are expected at various parts of the state due to the prevailing atmospheric circulation in the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu. The Met Office has forecast thundershowers in the Nilgiris, Krishnagiri, Tirupati, Dharmapuri, Salem, Theni, Dindigul and Coimbatore districts during the next 24 hours. Chennai will receive moderate rainfall over most parts of the city.
