அரசு தேயிலைத் தோட்ட குடியிருப்பு பகுதியில் உள்ள கோயிலை காட்டு யானைகள் கூட்டம் மீண்டும் உடைத்து சேதப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
நீலகிரி மாவட்டம் கூடலூர் அருகே உள்ள தேவாலாவில் சரகம் - 4 டீ பகுதியில் அரசு தேயிலைத் தோட்ட குடியிருப்பு உள்ளது. இந்த குடியிருப்பை ஒட்டியுள்ள மாரியம்மன் கோயிலை ஏற்கெனவே காட்டு யானை கூட்டம் பலமுறை தாக்கி சேதப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
இந்நிலையில் நேற்று இரவு அப்பகுதிக்கு மீண்டும் வந்த காட்டு யானைகள் கூட்டம் கோவிலை மீண்டும் உடைத்து சேதப்படுத்தி இருக்கின்றன.. கோவில் முன்பு இருந்த இரும்பு கேட், சமையல் அறை உள்ளிட்ட பகுதிகளை உடைத்து சேதப்படுத்திய காட்டு யானை கூட்டத்தை அடர்ந்த வனப்பகுதிக்குள் விரட்ட வேண்டும் என அப்பகுதி மக்கள் வனத் துறையினரிடம் வாக்குவாதத்தில் ஈடுபட்டனர்.
