பெண்களை பாராட்டிய மோடி -Modi praised the women who restored the river

மனதின் குரல் நிகழ்ச்சியில் பேசிய பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி தமிழ்நாட்டில் நாக நதியை மீட்டெடுத்த பெண்களை வெகுவாக பாராட்டினார்.

81ஆவது மனதில் குரல் நிகழ்ச்சியில் பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி நாட்டு மக்களுக்காக உரையாற்றினார். அப்போது நதிகள் மாசு, தண்ணீர் பிரச்னை குறித்து பேசிய அவர், இந்தியாவின் மேற்கு பகுதியில் குறிப்பாக குஜராத் மற்றும் ராஜஸ்தானில் தண்ணீர் தட்டுப்பாடு அதிகமாக உள்ளது என்று கூறினார்.

அப்போது தமிழகத்தை குறிப்பிட்ட பிரதமர், திருவண்ணாமலை, வேலூர் பகுதியில் உள்ள நாகநதி பல ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பே வறண்டுவிட்டது என்றும், ஆனால், அப்பகுதி பெண்கள் நாகநதிக்கு புத்துயிர் அளித்துள்ளனர் என்றும் பாராட்டு தெரிவித்தார்.

அப்பகுதி பெண்கள் மக்களை இணைத்தார்கள். அவர்களின் பங்களிப்பு வாயிலாக கால்வாய்களை தோண்டி, தடுப்பணைகளை உருவாக்கி, மறுசெறிவு குளங்களை வெட்டினார்கள். அதனால் இன்று நாகநதி நீர் நிரம்பி காணப்படுவதாக பிரதமர் கூறினார்.

நாட்டில் அனைத்து இடங்களிலும் ஆண்டுக்கு ஒரு முறையாவது நதி திருவிழாவை கொண்டாட வேண்டும் என்று வேண்டுகோள் விடுத்துள்ள பிரதமர், நாகநதி மீட்டெடுக்கப்பட்டது போல், நாடு முழுவதும் நதிகளை மீட்டெடுக்க பலரும் முயற்சிகள் மேற்கொண்டு வருவதாக தெரிவித்தார்.

Speaking on the Voice of the Mind program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the women who restored the Naga River in Tamil Nadu.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on the occasion of the 81st Mind Voice. Speaking on the issue of river pollution and water, he said water scarcity was high in western India, especially in Gujarat and Rajasthan.

The Prime Minister, who referred to Tamil Nadu at the time, said that the river in Thiruvannamalai, Vellore, had dried up many years ago, but women in the area had revived the river.

The women of the area connected the people. Through their contribution they dug canals, built dams and cut reclamation ponds. That is why today the Nakanadi is overflowing, the Prime Minister said.

The Prime Minister has appealed to all parts of the country to celebrate the river festival at least once a year, adding that many people across the country are making efforts to restore the river just as the Naga River was restored.
