உள்ளாட்சித் தேர்தல்: சுமார் 80 ஆயிரம் - Local elections: about 80 thousand candidate

9 மாவட்ட ஊரக உள்ளாட்சித் தேர்தலில் சுமார் 80 ஆயிரம் பேர் களத்தில் இருப்பதாக மாநில தேர்தல் ஆணையம் அறிவித்துள்ளது.

காஞ்சிபுரம், செங்கல்பட்டு, ராணிப்பேட்டை, வேலூர், திருப்பத்தூர், கள்ளக்குறிச்சி, தென்காசி, நெல்லை ஆகிய 9 மாவட்டங்களில் நடைபெறவுள்ள ஊரக உள்ளாட்சித் தேர்தலுக்கான இறுதி வேட்பாளர் பட்டியலை மாநில தேர்தல் ஆணையம் வெளியிட்டுள்ளது. அதன்படி, 29 ஆயிரத்து 998 பதவிகளுக்கு 79ஆயிரத்து 433 வேட்பாளர்கள் களத்தில் இருப்பதாக தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

மாவட்ட ஊராட்சி வார்டு உறுப்பினர் பதவிக்கான 140 இடங்களுக்கு 827 பேர் போட்டியிடுகின்றனர். ஆயிரத்து 381 ஊராட்சி ஒன்றிய வார்டு உறுப்பினர் பதவிகளுக்கு 6 ஆயிரத்து 64 பேர் களத்தில் உள்ளனர். 2 ஆயிரத்து 901 கிராம ஊராட்சி தலைவர் பதவிகளுக்கு 10 ஆயிரத்து 792 பேரும் 22 ஆயிரத்து 581 கிராம ஊராட்சி வார்டு உறுப்பினர் பதவிகளுக்கு 61 ஆயிரத்து 750 பேரும் போட்டியிடுகின்றர்.

மாவட்ட ஊராட்சி வார்டு உறுப்பினர்கள் 2 பேர், ஊராட்சி ஒன்றிய வார்டு உறுப்பினர் 5 பேர் கிராம ஊராட்சி தலைவர்கள் 119 பேர், 2 ஆயிரத்து 855 கிராம ஊராட்சி உறுப்பினர்கள் போட்டியின்றி தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளதாக கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஊரக உள்ளாட்சி தேர்தலில் மொத்தம் 2 ஆயிரத்து 981 பேர் போட்டியின்றி தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.

இது தவிர உள்ளாட்சி இடைத்தேர்தல் நடைபெறும் 28 மாவட்டங்களில் 418 பதவியிடங்களுக்கு ஆயிரத்து 386 வேட்பாளர்கள் களத்தில் உள்ளனர். இடைத்தேர்தல் நடைபெறும் பகுதிகளில் 365 பேர் போட்டியின்றி தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டிருப்பதாக மாநில தேர்தல் ஆணையம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

The State Election Commission has released the final list of candidates for the rural local government elections to be held in 9 districts namely Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Ranipettai, Vellore, Tirupati, Kallakurichi, Tenkasi and Nellai. Accordingly, 79 thousand 433 candidates are reported to be in the fray for 29 thousand 998 posts.

827 candidates are vying for 140 seats in the district panchayat ward. There are 6,064 people in the field for 1,881 Panchayat Union ward member positions. 10 thousand 792 persons are contesting for the posts of 2 thousand 901 Grama Panchayat Presidents and 61 thousand 750 persons are contesting for the posts of 22 thousand 581 Grama Panchayat Ward members.

It is said that 2 members of the District Panchayat Ward, 5 members of the Panchayat Union Ward, 119 Village Panchayat Leaders and 2 thousand 855 Grama Panchayat members have been elected without contest. A total of 2,981 people have been elected without contest in the rural local elections.

Apart from this, there are 1,386 candidates in the fray for 418 posts in the 28 districts where local by-elections will be held. The state election commission said 365 people had been elected unopposed in the by-elections.
