A father who was born near Sevilimedu in Kanchipuram and went to see his three-day-old baby died tragically in a road accident.

Karthik is the son of Sundararaj from Sevilimedu Road Street, Kanchipuram District. Age 23. He works in a private hardware store near Sevilimedu and has been married to Nalini for the last 1 year. In this case, the baby girl was born three days ago.

Following this, he discharged his wife from Chengalpattu Government Hospital last evening and left the baby and wife at his mother-in-law's house and returned to his home in Sevilimet. In this situation, he went to his mother-in-law's house in Thayarkulam area on his two-wheeler to see his wife and daughter again at night. At that time, a government bus carrying passengers from Kanchipuram to Salem via Thiruvannamalai was speeding near Gem Nagar when it hit the side of Karthik's two-wheeler and landed on his stomach.

Karthik was rushed to the Kanchipuram Government Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. His body was sent for autopsy. Upon learning of this, the taluka police confiscated the government bus, took the driver to the police station and are investigating.
