Tirupur Magistrate's Court has sentenced a man arrested in a Pokcho case to 67 years' rigorous imprisonment and fined him Rs 40,000 for sexually harassing twin girls.
Prakash (30), a resident of the house next to the twin girls of Subramanian and Babyshalini couple in Seyur Ambedkar Nagar area next to Avinashi in Tirupur district, sexually harassed her on 20.06.2020 and threatened not to tell anyone about it. Both the children cried when they told their mother about the cruelty that had befallen them.
Following this, mother Baby Shalini informed the child protection center by phone. Following this information, Child Protection Officer Karunambika conducted an investigation and on 23.06.2020 at the Avinashi All Women Police Station, based on a complaint lodged, Prakash was arrested by the Avinashi All Women Police who registered a case against Prakash under the Pokcho Act.
Following the conviction, Tirupur Magistrate Ms. Sukanti sentenced Prakash to 20 years imprisonment under three sections and 7 years imprisonment each under a total of 67 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 40,000.
இரட்டை பெண் குழந்தைகளுக்கு பாலியல் தொல்லை கொடுத்ததாக போக்சோ வழக்கில் கைது செய்யப்பட்ட குற்றவாளிக்கு 67 ஆண்டுகள் கடுங்காவல் தண்டனையும், ரூ.40,000 அபாரதமும் விதித்து திருப்பூர் மகிளா நீதிமன்றம் தீர்ப்பளித்துள்ளது.
திருப்பூர் மாவட்டம், அவிநாசியை அடுத்து சேயூர் அம்பேத்கர் நகர் பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த சுப்பிரமணி - பேபிஷாலினி தம்பதியரின் இரட்டை பெண் குழந்தைகளுக்கு பக்கத்து வீட்டில் வசிக்கும் பிரகாஷ் (30) என்பவன் கடந்த 20.06.2020 அன்று பாலியல் தொல்லை கொடுத்ததோடு இதுபற்றி யாரிடமும் கூறக்கூடாது எனவும் மிரட்டியுள்ளார். தங்களுக்கு நேர்ந்த கொடுமையை குழந்தைகள் இருவரும் தாயிடம் கூறி அழுதுள்ளனர்.
இதையடுத்து தாய் பேபி ஷாலினி குழந்தைகள் பாதுகாப்பு மையத்திற்கு போன் மூலம் தகவல் அளித்துள்ளார். இதையடுத்து தகவலின் பேரில், குழந்தைகள் பாதுகாப்பு அலுவலர் கருணாம்பிகை விசாரணை மேற்கொண்டு, 23.06.2020 அன்று அவிநாசி அனைத்து மகளிர் காவல் நிலையத்தில், கொடுத்த புகாரின் அடிப்படையில் பிரகாஷ் மீது போக்சோ சட்டத்தின் கீழ் வழக்குப் பதிவு செய்த அவிநாசி அனைத்து மகளிர் போலீசார் பிரகாஷை கைது செய்தனர்.
இந்நிலையில், இந்த வழக்கு விசாரணையில் குற்றம் நிரூபிக்கப்பட்டதால், குற்றவாளி பிரகாஷ்க்கு, மூன்று பிரிவுகளின் கீழ் தலா 20 வருடங்கள், ஒரு பிரிவின் கீழ் 7 வருடங்கள் என மொத்தம் 67 வருடங்கள் கடுங்காவல் சிறை தண்டனையும், ரூ.40,000 அபராதமும் விதித்து திருப்பூர் மகிளா நீதி மன்ற நீதிபதி திருமதி சுகந்தி தீர்ப்பளித்தார்.
