டெல்டா மாவட்டங்களில் இன்று 'ரெட் அலர்ட்'

வங்கக் கடலில் உருவாகியுள்ள ஆழ்ந்த காற்றழுத்த தாழ்வுப் பகுதி காரணமாக, டெல்டா மாவட்டங்கள் மற்றும் கடலூர், விழுப்புரம், புதுக்கோட்டை, சிவகங்கை, ராமநாதபுரம் மாவட்டங்களில் இன்று அதி கனமழை பெய்யும் என சென்னை வானிலை ஆய்வு மையம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

 

தென்கிழக்கு வங்கக் கடலில் உருவாகியுள்ள குறைந்த காற்றழுத்த தாழ்வுப் பகுதி காரணமாக 24 மணி நேரத்தில் காற்றழுத்த தாழ்வு மண்டலமாக வலுப்பெற்று மேற்கு வடமேற்கு திசையில் நகர்ந்து நாளை காலை தமிழக கரையை நெருங்கக்கூடும் என்று சென்னை வானிலை ஆய்வு மையம் கணித்துள்ளது. இதன் காரணமாக, இன்று டெல்டா மாவட்டங்கள், கடலூர், விழுப்புரம், புதுக்கோட்டை , சிவகங்கை, ராமநாதபுரம் ஆகிய மாவட்டங்கள், புதுச்சேரி, காரைக்காலில் இடி மின்னலுடன் கூடிய அதி கனமழை பெய்ய வாய்ப்புள்ளதாக ரெட் அலர்ட் விடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

 

மேலும், நாளை திருவள்ளூர், சென்னை, காஞ்சிபுரம், செங்கல்பட்டு, விழுப்புரம், திருவண்ணாமலை ஆகிய மாவட்டங்களில் அதி கனமழையும், வேலூர், ராணிப்பேட்டை, கள்ளக்குறிச்சி, திருப்பத்தூர், சேலம், திருப்பூர், கோவை, நீலகிரி, திண்டுக்கல், கடலூர் மாவட்டங்களில் கன முதல் மிக கன மழை வரையிலும் பெய்யக்கூடும் என எச்சரிக்கை விடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. அடுத்த இரண்டு நாட்களுக்கு தெற்கு ஆந்திரா மற்றும் தமிழக கடற்கரை பகுதிகள், குமரிக்கடல், தெற்கு வங்கக்கடல் உள்ளிட்ட பகுதிகளில் சூறாவளிக் காற்று வீசக்கூடும் என்பதால் மீனவர்கள் இப்பகுதிகளுக்குச் செல்ல வேண்டாம் என்று அறிவுறுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.

The Chennai Meteorological Department has forecast that the low pressure area in the south-eastern Bay of Bengal will strengthen in 24 hours and move west-northwest towards the Tamil Nadu coast tomorrow morning.

Due to this, the Delta districts, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Pudukottai, Sivagangai, Ramanathapuram districts, Pondicherry and Karaikal are likely to receive heavy rains with thunder and lightning today.

Heavy showers are also expected in Tiruvallur, Chennai, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Villupuram and Thiruvannamalai districts and in Vellore, Ranipettai, Kallakurichi, Tirupati, Salem, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Dindigul and Cuddalore districts.

Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the coastal areas of southern Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu for the next two days as the cyclone is likely to hit parts of the state, including Kumarikadal and South Bengal.
